Each session is tailored to the client’s individual preferences and needs and most sessions will include a range of the following manual therapy techniques.
TRADITIONAL SWEDISH RELAXATION MASSAGE
Involves using long, smooth strokes and kneading to relieve stress and tension in tight muscles, calm the nervous system, improve blood-flow and circulation, enhance healing and provide an overall sense of balance and wellbeing.
REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Targets the connective tissue (fascia) that wraps around all components of your body to relieve chronic pain, release any restrictions, improve postural alignment and enhance recovery from surgery, stress or trauma.
TRIGGER POINT RELEASE
Identifies and treats points that refer pain to other areas of the body, and alleviates persistent, aching pain caused by stubborn knots, thus enhancing range of motion and mobility.
MYOFASCIAL MASSAGE
Uses deeper strokes and friction techniques to ease chronic pain and deep tension, target and treat specific conditions and overuse syndromes, improve mobility and range of movement.
McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release
MSTR® is an innovative, pain-free, natural method of helping you with your scars. Gentle, finger-tip pressure is applied to the area to help free the restrictions in the scar. No force is involved and the work is always applied within your tolerance.
This method takes up 15 minutes, depending on the size of the scar and can be incorporated into a session. Results can be immediate, although for best outcomes it may be necessary to receive a few treatments.
For clients who want to receive MSTR alone, it’s recommended you book a 30 minute session.
Bookings are made on the basis of duration;
30 minutes - $55
60 minutes - $90
90 minutes - $130

BOOKING POLICIES:
Cancellations and no shows
I am appreciative that you chose to book your session with me. I strive to provide excellent massage and individualised care. In order to do that, the time that you schedule with me is set aside just for you. Please read these guidelines and policies.
New clients are required to arrive five minutes prior to your appointment start time to allow time to complete a client information sheet.
To make the most out of the time you have booked, I ask all returning clients to arrive a few minutes prior to their appointment.
Late Policy
I understand that sometimes life is outside of our control. If you do find yourself running late, please call or message to let me know.
So as to not impinge on the appointments that follow yours, the anticipated end time for your appointment will remain fixed. This means if you are late, your session will unfortunately be shortened.
Regardless of the length of the treatment actually experienced, full payment for your booking is expected.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation fees are necessary to cover the cost of my time. As a small business my clients are respected and deeply valued. Please show consideration by respecting my policies.
I ask that you give 24 hours notice of cancellation by messaging me through my Facebook business page ‘Kowhai Therapeutic Massage’, or call/text 0273400526. If less than 24 hours notice is given to cancel or reschedule your appointment you will be invoiced the cancellation fee of half the cost of your massage treatment. If less than 12 hours notice is given to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you will be invoiced a cancellation fee of the full cost of your massage treatment
If no notice is given and you fail to turn up to a scheduled appointment, you will be invoiced the cancellation fee of the full cost of your massage appointment.
Gift Voucher Cancellations
If less than 24 hours notice is given to reschedule your massage, your gift voucher will become void.
Same Day Appointments
When booking an appointment within the next 24 hour period, it is considered fixed, and if changed, cancelled or rescheduled at any point after it is confirmed, the client is responsible for paying the full price of the booking.
